Panoceania Cutter: my best painting effort so far.

“Nemo nos effugit” (Nobody escapes from us), motto of the Naval Chasseurs Regiment

"The Cutter is the Remote Presence tactical armored gear (TAG) model used by the Varuna Chasseurs Regiment of the Rapid Intervention Division. It was conceived for undercover operations and amphibious or underwater operations. Its design includes sound-suppressing equipment and an environment-adaptive skin capable of changing its reflective, radiative, and electrical properties at will, effectively canceling its optical and thermal output.
Cutter units are also used by the armored division of the “Blue Sea” anti-terrorism project. They are responsible for undercover insertions in highly volatile areas, but their operational remit also includes punitive actions and control of operational perimeters to avoid target withdrawal."
I finally found the time and the desire to approach this miniature.
The size initially intimidated me a bit, but I must admit that with the airbrush I managed to get some good color contrasts that simplified the next job. Once the volumes were defined with different shades of blue, I did nothing but outline the profiles to accentuate the depth of the model.
Then it was time to work on the weapon. I put away the airbrush and worked only with the brush. A shy attempt at n.m.m., a technique I haven't used for a while. All in all, the result was satisfactory.
After completing a few details here and there (red lights, cables and others) I opted for a purple base with a hexagonal pattern. Needless to say, the airbrush has once again proved to be a valuable tool both in terms of speed and final result.
What else to say? It turned out to be an extremely fun model to paint, even for someone like me who doesn't like this part of the hobby.
Here are some pictures of the various steps.
See you!
